dc.description.abstract | The Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) headed by then former City Librarian, Ms. Emelita L. Villanueva, spearheaded the conduct of the 1st QCPL webinar series entitled "Libraries and Mental Health: How to Cope with Stress, Anxiety and Depression During the COVID 19 Pandemic” on July 31, 2020 in partnership with Mr. Carlos L. Eclevia, Jr. of the Regalo Touching Lives, aimed to help the target participants fight and be aware of the said disease. This timely and appropriate webinar which underscored the need to protect one’s physical and mental well-being was conceptualized by the Readers Services Division led by yours truly together with my Section Heads Ms. Manica M. Cortes, Ms. Rowena G. Remiendo, Paulo Dominik Daulat, Ernani Agulto and Ms. Ana Katrina Honrade, with the all-out support of the Asst. City Librarian Ms. Mariza G. Chico and Ms. Analiza Martinez of the District Libraries Division. QCPL also took upon itself to take the lead in the city' s information dissemination efforts to raise public awareness on the issue of mental health. | en_US |
