Best to Boost Reading Energy

Abstract

As Metro Manila was placed under General Community Quarantine (GCQ). The QCPL Payatas Lupang Pangako Branch, District II Libraries, headed by Mrs. Chona Masbate, OIC, District II Coordinator and Mrs. Elisa Yulai, Asst. District II Coordinator and other library staff, grabbed the opportunity to provide an outreach program at Star hope Visayas Street Payatas B, on September 2 in partnership with the team of Basic Environmental System & Technologies, Inc. (BEST). The activity was developed to encourage children to continue reading books and instill their reading interest while at home. With the help of parent leader Olive Acma, big books and Milo products were distributed to households with children while observing Covid-19 protocol guidelines, such as physical distancing, wearing of mask, shields and surgical gloves for protection and safety.
