There was excitement in the air as the participants from the Quezon City Public Library (QCPL) gathered and waited for their Nihingo class to start. Thirteen (13) participants from QCPL’s Main library attended the second cycle of Nihongo class- a first of 2-day free Japanese language class. The activity was in partnership with JellyFish Education, Philippines, a language center catering to those who wants to pursue learning foreign languages. The first cycle was successfully held last May 20 and 27, 2019 and were attended by seventeen (17) participants, librarians and library staff, from Main library and other branch libraries. Kitae Sensei (sensei which means “teacher”) also handled the class with enthusiasm and humor, which made her class fun and engaging at the same time.en_US
