The Technical Services team led by Ms. Mariza G. Chico, created a new Cataloging Policy and Guidelines (a systematic organization of bibliographic information for books and other reading materials), that is based on Resource Description and Access or RDA. RDA is the new cataloging standard that replaced the 2nd edition of Anglo-American Cataloging Rules or AACR2. The work to change AACR2 began in 2002, and because there were more additional rules than revisions, the Joint Steering Committee who is in charge of the supposed to be revision, decided for a new publication and call it Resource Description and Access (RDA), to emphasize important task of description some volunteer libraries worldwide.en_US
