Abstract: QCPL MIS Section conducted a seminar-workshop on Basic Photography with the theme: “Documenting Library Activities through Photography”. This was participated by QCPL Staff from different branches last September 29, 2017 at 8:30a.m. —3:00 p.m. in the QCPL Conference Room. The resource person was Mr. Romeo Mariano, a Professional Photographer since 1983. He contributes to foreign wire agencies such as the Associated Press and Impact Visuals in New York. Mr. Mariano discussed about the fundamentals of photography in understanding the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO and how to get and capture the right composition, timing and lighting. The seminar’s objectives is to train selected QCPL staff to educate on the proper way of taking pictures, to expose them to techniques in basic photography and to apply. Basic Photography seminar proper theories learned through actual photo shoots taken at the QC Hall compound.
