| dc.description.abstract | The Quezon City Public Library - Novaliches branch formally launched its Book-TANical Garden (formerly named “Green Library” or “Luntiang Bahay Aklatan”) on January 23, 2020, located at a vacant lot at the back of the library building to serve as an extension of the library services to the people of Novaliches Proper. Table and chairs were placed in the garden and copies of magazines hanged in makeshift newspaper stand, for the people roaming the garden to just sit, read, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sprouting vegetable plants like pechay, ampalaya, mustasa, green sili, malunggay, and other flowering plants. It is a pioneering effort of Novaliches Branch Library to inspire people to plant as well in their own backyards and experience how a simple pot of soil with seeds when grown can provide healthy food for the family. | en_US |
