FORMER QCLAI OFFICERS GET-TOGETHER

Abstract

Last December 5, 2012, former officers and presidents of Quezon City Librarians Association, Inc. (QCLAI) held their long awaited get together at Tramway Garden Buffet in Timog, Quezon City. The QCLAI is a non- stock, non-profit organization established in 1995 by the former City Superintendent of Libraries of Quezon City, Ms. Blanquita L. Del Barrio, as the prime mover in organizing the group of librarians in Quezon City. The Association’s objectives are: 1) to foster mutual library cooperation among members; 2) to enhance the members’ professional growth and development through seminars, in-service trainings, workshops and scholarship grants to its members; and 3) to bring library services closer to its city constituents, through bookmobile services, puppet shows, storytelling sessions, livelihood lectures and information dissemination of important and relevant news.
